Nocturnes I

This artwork was created to be exhibited alongside its counterpart, Nocturnas II, although it can perfectly function as a standalone piece. The painting depicts a woman with ebony skin in the foreground, partially turned away from the viewer, contrasting strongly with the energetic brushstrokes of the white background, with some parts semi-transparent and others denser. The woman is portrayed with a strong and serene presence, looking at the viewer sideways. This artwork is part of the Sacred Ebony series.
