'La Leçon de Danse' is my most recent series of artwork. This collection was uplifted by some photographs I took during my daughter's ballet open class. While observing the performance, my gaze focused on the girls that were watching their classmates. Instantly, my mind was enchanted by those moments of intimacy and tenderness.

Clearly inspired by Edgar Degas' paintings, in these cohesive artworks my aim is to capture the essence of these dancers in a moment of spontaneity and naturalness.

Part of the cohesion of these series of paintings lies in its harmony of colours and vivid tonality. These paintings are small and yet full of detail.
